Solutions Architecture Lead

Full-time

Job Description

AMPECO is one of the most innovative companies in the area of electric vehicle charging infrastructure - an industry that aims to change the world by making charging easier for everyone. As electric vehicles (EVs) drive a transformation of the transport and mobility sectors, AMPECO is at the forefront of that grand revolution, and we’re just getting started.

Our product - the AMPECO EV Charging Platform - is a business-critical SaaS platform used by companies to manage their EV charging infrastructure, processes and energy use. It’s already in use by companies all over the world, from North and South America to Europe, Asia and Australia.

Our team is highly motivated, capable, and committed to our mission. We are looking to expand it with like-minded, capable people, eager to give, learn and grow with us.

About the Role

As a Solutions Architecture Lead at AMPECO you will be a senior individual contributor who guides customers through the architecture, design, and delivery of complex technical projects, from the first conversation to a successful project go-live.

You will work on specific engagements and can join as early as the pre-sales stage. With a new prospect, you will help define the overall solution architecture and migration strategy. You will also own the planning, estimation, and risk assessment that support bidding and contracting.

Once a prospect becomes an AMPECO customer, you will lead their onboarding and migration. When the project is complete, you will hand them over smoothly to a business-as-usual setup. As existing customers take on new integrations or complex initiatives, you might again lead the planning and delivery.

Why this role matters

This role is highly visible and carries real technical authority. You will be the senior strategic and technical voice for customers at the most critical point in their relationship with AMPECO. We are looking for someone who is equally confident in business and technical conversations, and who can turn complex requirements into clear, achievable plans.

If you are based in Germany, have a passion for e-mobility alongside a combination of deep technical grounding and strong client-facing presence, read on to find out more about our opportunity.

What we are looking for
Client-facing experience
  • Experience in a technical consulting, solutions engineering, or client delivery role - ideally in e-mobility, B2B SaaS or infrastructure software
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously - prioritising, communicating status, and delivering without dropping threads
  • Comfortable running workshops and enablement sessions for varied audiences - technical and non-technical alike
  • Skilled at translating ambiguous client needs into concrete, actionable technical plans
  • Fluent English plus German and/or French
  • Availability to travel and meet prospects and customers on a regular basis
  • Technical skills
  • Hands-on experience with REST API integrations
  • Confidence with network and connectivity troubleshooting - firewalls, TLS certificates, WebSocket connections
  • Cloud infrastructure awareness and ability to understand how SaaS platforms are structured and where failures propagate
  • Programming knowledge enabling you to read code, use and contribute to internal tools, and confidently use AI to script solutions that make your work more efficient
  • Working style
  • High ownership mentality - you take problems all the way to resolution
  • Structured and systematic - you document as you go and leave things better than you found them
  • Collaborative - you involve the right people early, and share what you learn across the team
  • Calm under pressure - escalations and urgent situations sharpen your focus rather than scatter it.

  • Considered an advantage
  • Familiarity with eRoaming hubs - Hubject, Gireve, or similar
  • Experience leading or supporting data migration projects
  • Familiarity with Energy Management
  • Additional language skills

  • What we offer
  • A seat at a fast-growing company on the path to becoming a global industry leader
  • Opportunity to work and grow with a highly specialised team of experts who genuinely enjoy working together on the most interesting projects in a high-impact industry
  • Flexibility to work from anywhere in Germany
  • Attractive employee package
  • Our team at AMPECO is deeply committed to our mission and we're looking for like-minded individuals eager to give, learn and grow with us. If you're passionate about innovative technology and want to make a real impact in the e-mobility sector, we want to hear from you.   Join AMPECO in building the future of EV charging!   Our interview process is entirely remote. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
