Job Description

JOIN OUR TEAM

As a (Senior) Sustainability Manager in our Product Management team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our Sustainability Cockpit. Working at the intersection of product, regulation, and customer needs, you will drive the continued development of solutions supporting organisations in meeting evolving sustainability reporting requirements.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to translate regulatory developments and customer feedback into valuable product capabilities. If you enjoy combining sustainability expertise with product thinking and want to help customers navigate an evolving ESG landscape, we'd love to hear from you.

EQS Group is a leading international cloud software provider in the areas of Compliance & Ethics, Data Privacy, Sustainability Management, and Investor Relations. We help thousands of companies worldwide to cultivate trust by simplifying complex processes, ensuring transparency, and enabling clear communication with stakeholders.

Our success is built on our people. We bring together talented individuals who care about doing meaningful work, take pride in what they do, and support one another to achieve more together. We believe passion and trust aren’t just values — they’re at the core of how we operate, every day.

Our mission is to Create Trusted Companies. If you share our passion for our mission, we’d love to have you help us turn it into reality.

OUR CULTURE DRIVES OUR BENEFITS

  • You're important. We foster a trusting environment and lifelong learning to support your individual development. Set personal development goals, receive support and regular feedback — we give you the tools to succeed.
  • Living our values. Our values connect us. They shape how we work and collaborate across teams and cultures, creating belonging, trust, and an environment where everyone can thrive.
  • Great atmosphere. We cultivate a dynamic culture where shared goals bring us together. From unforgettable company events to volunteering initiatives, we inspire and empower each other to make a positive impact.
  • Work-life balance is a must. Enjoy a modern office with state-of-the-art equipment, flexible working hours, and a hybrid model — including the ability to work from abroad within the EU. Paid vacation is standard, and for longer breaks, we offer a sabbatical because your free time matters too.
  • Special perks just for you. We offer you other exciting benefits, such as salary optimization in the form of customized bonus and benefit programs, as well as corporate shopping benefits.
  • Health is a priority. We support your well-being with company-sponsored sports programs for the use of various fitness studios, bicycle leasing via JobRad, and mental health counseling.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Drive the further development of the EQS Sustainability Cockpit with a particular focus on CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and sustainability reporting capabilities.
  • Translate regulatory developments and market requirements into clear product priorities and requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success Management (CSM), Engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders to deliver customer-centric product enhancements.
  • Act as a sustainability subject matter expert for internal stakeholders, particularly Product, Sales, and Customer Success.
  • Participate in Sales and customer meetings to answer domain-specific questions and guide prospects and customers in navigating sustainability reporting requirements.
  • Gather and evaluate customer and market feedback to continuously improve the Sustainability Cockpit.
  • Monitor developments in the European sustainability reporting landscape and assess their impact on the product roadmap.
Be part of an exciting journey and contribute to our success story of becoming the leading provider of digital compliance and governance solutions.

THIS IS YOU

Must have

  • Professional experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, or sustainable finance, ideally within a software or technology environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and the European sustainability reporting landscape, complemented by knowledge of additional reporting frameworks or emerging regulatory developments.
  • Experience working with cross-functional product development and customer-facing teams, supported by strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into structured product requirements.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in German (C2) and English (C1).
  • Experience with ESG or sustainability reporting software.
  • Practical experience using AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) and AI-enabled workflow automation to make sustainability research, regulatory analysis, and product documentation more efficient, with a responsible approach to data privacy and output quality.
  • Experience supporting customer conversations, product demonstrations, or go-to-market initiatives.
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with agile product development methodologies.

We are open to hiring remotely in Germany.
