This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about coding and quality assurance, with a deep understanding of Python, to enhance our QA processes through automation and efficiency.</p> <h3><strong>About the role:</strong></h3> <p>As a QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of automated test scripts, frameworks, and custom tools to ensure the quality and performance of our software and hardware products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to integrate automated testing into our software development lifecycle. This is an opportunity to be a key player in both testing and development, ensuring that we deliver top-quality products to our customers.</p> <h3><strong>What you will do:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python to enhance our testing processes</li> <li>Work with the QA Engineering team to identify areas for automation and build robust, reusable test suites.</li> <li>Write test scripts to validate new features, products, and bug fixes across various platforms and environments.</li> <li>Expand and maintain supporting tools that facilitate round-the-clock testing and reporting.</li> <li>Integrate automated tests into our continuous integration (CI) pipeline to ensure build stability and quality throughout the development lifecycle.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise in the automation environment, ensuring smooth execution of automated tests.</li> <li>Conduct manual testing to ensure comprehensive test coverage, especially for complex or new features.</li> <li>Develop a deep understanding of our software through hands-on usage and manual testing, using insight to inform robust and effective automated test strategies.</li> <li>Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test documentation.</li> <li>Perform code reviews and collaborate with developers to ensure test&nbsp;</li> <li>coverage is integrated early in the development process.</li> <li>Monitor and report on test results, providing insights on issues and risks to development and product teams.</li> <li>Support the broader QA team with knowledge of testing best practices, tools, and Python development.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Skills, Experience &amp; Behaviours we are looking for:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>High proficiency in Python and experience with maintaining larger Python projects in a team.</li> <li>Strong understanding of software development and QA processes, particularly in automated testing.</li> <li>Experience with version control tools such as Git and understanding of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.</li> <li>Familiarity with issue tracking and test management tools such as Jira and TestRail.</li> <li>A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.</li> <li>Good understanding of the conventions of software architecture, hardware, and APIs.</li> <li>Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work with developers to resolve problems.</li> <li>Knowledge of video technology (genlock, timecode, video formats, frame rates, colour spaces, SDI/HDMI) and experience with live events, broadcast, media servers or real-time video pipelines is a plus.</li> <li>Ability to read C++ code is a plus.</li> <li>Experience with other programming languages (e.g. Go) is a plus</li> <li>Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, frameworks, and technologies.</li> <li>Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, complemented by excellent written and verbal communication abilities and the flexibility to work independently or collaboratively within a team.</li> <li>Detail-oriented, with a commitment to high-quality, error-free work.</li> <li>Proactive attitude, constantly seeking opportunities to improve testing processes and tools.</li> <li>Strong team player with the ability to contribute to cross-functional collaboration.</li> <li>Eagerness to learn and grow, particularly in the areas of quality assurance and product domain knowledge.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>About Disguise</strong></p> <p>Disguise is the industry-leading platform sitting at the heart of a new era of visual experiences.
